Daniel Candeias

Daniel João Santos Candeias (born 25 February 1988) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a winger for French club Metz, on loan from Benfica.
==Club career==
Born in Fornos de Algodres, Guarda, Candeias started his professional career with F.C. Porto in the 2008–09 season, after emerging through the club's youth ranks and having served a loan at Varzim Sport Club in the second division. He made his official debut in late August, in the 0–2 Portuguese Supercup defeat to Sporting Clube de Portugal.〔(Djaló double steers Sporting success ); UEFA.com, 16 August 2008〕
After having appeared scarcely throughout his first year (also playing ten minutes in the 0–4 loss against Arsenal in the season's UEFA Champions League〔(Awesome Arsenal power past Porto ); UEFA.com, 1 October 2008〕), Candeias was loaned in late January to league strugglers Rio Ave FC, until the end of the campaign. For 2009–10 another loan ensued, as he moved to Recreativo de Huelva in the Spanish second level.〔(El Recre obtiene la cesión de Daniel Candeias (Recre gets Daniel Candeias loan) ); Marca, 14 July 2009 (Spanish)〕
However, after a few months of irregular use, Candeias returned to his country in late January 2010, in the same predicament, joining F.C. Paços de Ferreira: his first match for his new club was a 1–2 home loss against G.D. Chaves, for the quarter-finals of the domestic cup.
Candeias was released by Porto in June 2010, signing shortly after with fellow top-divisioner C.D. Nacional. He was immediately loaned to Portimonense SC, appearing regularly as a starter but suffering top flight relegation.
On 3 July 2014, Candeias signed for Portuguese champions Benfica, promising to "give everything" for his new club.〔(Candeias: "I will give everything for Benfica" ); Benfica's official website, 3 July 2014〕
On 24 August 2014, Candeias was loaned to FC Nürnberg in Germany, initially for one season.〔(Club leiht Daniel Candeias von Benfica aus )〕 On 29 January 2015, Candeias was loaned to Spanish club Granada CF until the end of the season.
On 29 August 2015, Candeias was loaned to French Ligue 2 side FC Metz for one season.〔http://www.abola.pt/clubes/ver.aspx?t=3&id=568012〕
